Roger Kerr, MD

Dr. Roger Kerr is a musculoskeletal radiologist who has been in Los Angeles since 1984. Dr. Kerr graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science degree and then spent two years at Princeton University as a graduate student in the department of Biochemical Sciences. He earned his M.D. Degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Following his radiology residency at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, he completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology with Donald Resnick, M.D. At the University of California at San Diego.

Dr. Kerr spent seven years as assistant professor of radiology at LA County - USC Medical Center and was chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology from 1988 to 1991. He was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 1991 to 1993 and, since 1993 he has been Medical Director of Radiology at Orthopaedic Hospital in Los Angeles (now LA Orthopaedic Medical Center). He is Clinical Professor of Radiology at the Keck-USC School of Medicine and has given conferences to Radiology and Orthopedic Surgery residents at USC and Orthopaedic Hospital since 1984.

Dr. Kerr is a member of the International Skeletal Society, the Society of Skeletal Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. He has published nearly 60 articles, 4 book chapters and co-authored two textbooks on MR imaging of the foot and ankle. He is a member of the editorial board of Seminars in Musculoskeletal Radiology and was a guest editor of the inaugural issue on MR Imaging of Sports Injuries. He has been an invited speaker at numerous national and international meetings.
